In 1980, the qualified precision mechanic and master butcher Helmut Günther founded the company “Günther Maschinenbau". Already during the seventies, he used his professional experience to start designing machines that were to be better and more functional than facilities existing on current markets. 

Until 1983, production exclusively took place on the premises of the Günther butchery, but in 1983 the enterprise was developed and then continuously expanded at today’s location in Dieburg. 

Since 1998, Günther Maschinenbau GmbH is located in new premises on a roughly 5000 m² surface area with state-of-the art production facilities and administration buildings. Furthermore, a technical school with state-of-the-art equipment permitting the practical application of individual as well as complex production processes was also set up at this location. However, training and instruction courses for dealers, customer employees as well as own employees are also held in this area with great success.

After constant growth and after a change of the corporate name to "Günther Maschinenbau GmbH", approx. 80 employees are currently working on innovative solutions for the international meat processing industry.
